Day 2 @ HK (18 May)

We woke up at around 8am on Sunday. Took our breakfast at Cafe de Coral at Mongkok which is nearby our hotel.

Our 1st breakfast in Hong Kong...... my favourite sunshine egg!!!!

Next, we took MTR to Macau Ferry Terminal in Sheung Wan. I love their MTR destination indicator. The whole line would blink once you arrived at the interchange. Their MTR line are more complicated as compared to Singapore but not as complicated as Japan.
Central MTR

In order to reached Sheung Wan, we need to interchanged at Central MTR. After we bought our ferry ticket for Tuesday, we went to Central to explore. Our destination was Chai Yee Jai which is famous for their bird nest and malt biscuit. We also bought almond biscuits and other food stuffs to be brought back to Singapore.

Next, we went to look for another dessert shop, Yuen Kee. We ventured the Central for around 2 hours. The food booklet that Siong got from Suntec HK Tourism Board was misleading. We exit from Exit B of Sheung Wan MTR. However, there was no such shop around. The 1st lady that I asked do not even know the existance of the shop. With the food stuffs that we bought just now, we walked up and down the area.

This was one of the pic that I managed to take when we were searching for the dessert shop.

Tram at the Central

After around one hour search, we went into the 711 to ask the staff but they could not give us the exact direction but accrording to him, we need to take the tram as the place would be quite far. Siong managed to get us nearer bit by bit by looking at the tram direction at the stop. We were tired and thirsty and went to another 711 after an hour. There, I asked the staff...... and finally with the help of another lady who happen to top up her Octopus card, we managed to get the direction.

By the time we arrived, it was already 1 plus. We went back to the hotel to put our food stuffs and headed for Sogo.

Mido Cafe menu.

Since we do not have much things to buy at Sogo, we went back to hour hotel to rest for a while. Then, we went to Mido Cafe at Temple Street for our dinner.

Before we went up to The Peak, we managed to get to Central for egg tart at Tai Cheong Bakery. Their egg tarts were superb as the outer layer was made from almond instead of only flour.

After taking our photo of the open area (above) from the photo centre, we went to buy some souvenirs from the shop nearby. Finally, we took another tram ride down the hill. We went to the place where we bought our egg tarts...... We bought the roasted goose at Yung Kee Restaurant. The pigeons were out of stock.
